About the art
What is Wing Chun?
Wing Chun is a southern Chinese Kung Fu style built for close range. It protects the centreline, defends and attacks at the same time, and trains sensitivity through chi sau (sticking hands). It was taught in Hong Kong by Ip Man, whose students included Bruce Lee, and it is now practised worldwide.
The system is taught through three empty-hand forms - Siu Nim Tau, Chum Kiu and Biu Jee - followed by the wooden dummy, the long pole and the butterfly knives. Schools usually grade students through numbered levels, often with coloured sashes.

Wing Chun schools often ask
Our lineage uses different spellings. Can we change them?
Yes. Techniques list the common alternative spellings, and you can add your own terms as club techniques.
Can we use our own grading levels?
Yes. Start from the twelve-grade student ladder or build your own, and set the forms and drills each level needs.
Can we use our own syllabus and grades?
Yes. The starter ladder is only a starting point. Rename grades, change colours, add your own requirements and set the lessons and time each grade needs.
Can one club teach more than one martial art?
Yes. Choose a main martial art when you create your club and add others in the club settings. Each keeps its own technique library.
Can you move our students across from our current system?
Yes. Import students from a spreadsheet and check every row before it is saved, or send us your records and we will move them across for you free of charge.
How much does it cost?
Small clubs can use the Free plan with no card required. Paid plans add capacity and features as your club grows.
