About the art
What is Taekwondo?
Taekwondo is a Korean martial art best known for fast, high and spinning kicks. It took its name in 1955, when several Korean schools came together, and is now practised in two main traditions: World Taekwondo, the Olympic sport that teaches the Taegeuk poomsae, and the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF), which teaches its own patterns from Chon-Ji to Tong-Il.
Students progress through coloured-belt kup grades to black belt dan grades. Gradings usually test patterns, kicking technique, sparring, breaking and theory, so clubs need to keep track of what each student has covered and when they last graded.

The Taekwondo technique library and a starter grading ladder are ready when you create your club, and you can change any of it to match your syllabus.
WT and ITF patterns
The pattern list includes the Taegeuk and Palgwae poomsae, the black belt poomsae from Koryo onwards, and all 24 ITF patterns. Each club links the patterns it teaches to its own grades.
A kup ladder to start from
Start from a ten-kup ladder to 1st Dan, then add the patterns, kicks and theory each grade needs and share the next grade's requirements with students.
Kicking combinations
The Combo Builder chains kicks, punches and blocks that follow on naturally, with Korean names alongside English, for pad work and line drills.

Taekwondo clubs often ask
Does it support both World Taekwondo and ITF clubs?
Yes. Both pattern sets are in the library, and each club builds its syllabus around the patterns it teaches.
Can students see which pattern they need next?
Yes. The student and parent portal shows the next grade's requirements, as far as the club chooses to share them.
Can we use our own syllabus and grades?
Yes. The starter ladder is only a starting point. Rename grades, change colours, add your own requirements and set the lessons and time each grade needs.
Can one club teach more than one martial art?
Yes. Choose a main martial art when you create your club and add others in the club settings. Each keeps its own technique library.
Can you move our students across from our current system?
Yes. Import students from a spreadsheet and check every row before it is saved, or send us your records and we will move them across for you free of charge.
How much does it cost?
Small clubs can use the Free plan with no card required. Paid plans add capacity and features as your club grows.
