Turning backfist delivered with full body spin
Key steps
- Turn your head first to find the target and keep your balance centered before you begin the spin.
- Rotate through the feet and hips, letting the body turn as one unit until the striking arm can unfold into the backfist.
- Snap the backfist at the end of the rotation with the elbow still controlling the motion rather than throwing the arm wildly.
- Complete the turn under control, re-face the target, and recover to stance or guard immediately after impact.
Coaching points
- Stay relaxed until the moment of impact.
- Let the hips and stance support the strike.
- Recover quickly so the next action can flow.
