Compact rising uppercut for close range
Key steps
- Work from close range with the fist near the body and the elbow bent so the strike begins compactly.
- Lift through the legs and hips while the fist travels upward on a short uppercut line under the target.
- Keep the palm orientation consistent, the elbow under control, and the non-striking hand active in guard or chamber.
- Stop the strike as soon as it lands, then return to a protected guard without letting the chest drift forward.

- Stay relaxed until the moment of impact.
- Let the hips and stance support the strike.
- Recover quickly so the next action can flow.
