Hammerfist strike using the bottom of the fist
Key steps
- Form a tight fist and angle the bottom of the fist so the hammer surface can land cleanly.
- Drive the strike with the hips and shoulder connection rather than just dropping the arm from the shoulder joint.
- Keep the elbow slightly bent and the striking path compact so the hammerfist stays heavy and controlled.
- Recover the hand back to guard or chamber quickly and re-establish your balance before the next technique.

- Stay relaxed until the moment of impact.
- Let the hips and stance support the strike.
- Recover quickly so the next action can flow.
