Key steps

  1. Begin from a balanced stance with the rear hand chambered.
  2. Rotate the hips and shoulders together as the rear fist punches to head height.
  3. Keep the line direct and avoid lifting the shoulder.
  4. Finish grounded through the stance and recover under control.

Coaching points

  • Drive the rear side through the target with hip turn.
  • Keep the chin down and the shoulder relaxed.
  • Finish long through the punch, then recover under control.
