Fast rising groin kick used sparingly and with more control than a beginner front kick

Key steps

  1. Stay close enough that the kick can rise quickly without needing a big chamber or visible preparation.
  2. Lift the knee and snap the foot upward through the groin line on a compact direct path.
  3. Keep the hands ready and the torso upright so the kick remains fast and discreet.
  4. Recoil promptly and return the foot to stance without overcommitting your weight.

Coaching points

  • Keep the supporting leg strong and stable.
  • Chamber and re-chamber the kicking leg cleanly.
  • Do not sacrifice posture just to reach higher.
